OUR
HEROES
Journeys have the power to inspire hope, and at Spring Lake Family Support Services at the Kinsey House, we honor the extraordinary individuals whose compassion and service uplift the families we support. Our heroes embody the spirit of community, reminding us that kindness and advocacy can transform lives in profound and lasting ways.
Ms. Michelle

Every so often, a person steps forward with a heart so generous and a spirit so unwavering that they redefine what community support truly looks like. Michelle is one of those rare individuals. When she learned about a domestic violence survivor in need, she didn’t hesitate, she embraced the family as her own. She purchased, delivered, and personally set up an entire home environment for them: a queen bed with a mattress, dresser, nightstand, bedding, blankets, a television, full kitchen and bathroom essentials, Christmas gifts, and even a blow‑up sofa to make their space warm and welcoming. She ended the day by providing dinner, ensuring the family not only had a home, but also felt cared for, seen, and valued.

Her actions reflect more than generosity, they reflect advocacy in its purest form. Michelle understands that rebuilding after trauma requires more than shelter; it requires dignity, stability, and the reassurance that someone believes in your future. Her compassion has brought comfort to a family navigating one of the most difficult chapters of their lives, and her commitment to standing with survivors embodies the mission we hold close at Spring Lake Family Support Services at the Kinsey House.

We are profoundly grateful for Michelle’s continued service and unwavering support of our domestic violence clients. Her kindness has created lasting impact, reminding us all that heroes don’t always wear capes, sometimes they show up with furniture, gifts, and a heart full of love. Spring Lake Family Support Services at the Kinsey House celebrates Michelle for the light she brings to our community and the hope she restores in the lives of those we serve.
