A Few Good Women

Kindness has the power to spark hope in moments that feel cold and uncertain, both literally and figuratively. When two of our homeless clients were placed in housing, one family received a heater and warm blankets, while the other was provided a king size inflatable mattress, blankets, and basic essential items to assist them on their new journey.

Their compassion went beyond meeting a practical need; it restored a sense of care and dignity for a survivor rebuilding her life after hardship. Through their generosity, A Few Good Women demonstrated what true community looks like, seeing a need, responding with empathy, and acting with purpose.

We at Spring Lake Family Support Services at the Kinsey House are deeply grateful for their swift, heartfelt support. Their kindness reminds us that heroes are not defined by titles or uniforms, but by their willingness to bring warmth where it is needed most, both to homes and to hearts. A Few Good Women continue to embody the spirit of solidarity that fuels our mission and uplifts the lives of the families we serve.
