Healing Hearts Program
"Supporting Survivors to Heal, Rebuild, and Reclaim Their Lives"

The Healing Hearts Program, a cornerstone of Spring Lake Family Support Services, is dedicated to educating, empowering, and uplifting individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and related crises. Rooted in compassion, respect, and a trauma‑informed, survivor‑centered approach, the program offers a safe, confidential, and judgment‑free space where survivors can begin their journey toward safety, healing, and independence. Our trained advocates and counselors provide emotional support, safety planning, and referrals to medical and mental health providers, while also addressing the practical challenges of abuse through emergency and transitional housing referrals, financial coaching, job readiness support, life‑skills education, and strong connections to community resources, local agencies, employers, and service providers.
Safety, prevention, and empowerment are woven throughout every service we offer. Survivors receive education about healthy relationships, their legal rights, and strategies to increase safety, along with support navigating protective orders, court accompaniment, and referrals to legal aid so they are not alone in complex systems. From basic needs assistance such as food, clothing, and transportation to ongoing advocacy, peer support, and housing advocacy, Healing Hearts helps survivors regain confidence, make informed decisions, and define their own futures within a compassionate community where they are seen, heard, and honored. The Healing Hearts Program is more than a collection of services; it is a lifeline for those who have been controlled, silenced, or left behind, providing a comprehensive, survivor‑centered support system that helps them overcome barriers, find safety and stability, and move forward with dignity and hope, supporting survivors to heal, rebuild, and reclaim their lives.
