Stigma and Bias Training Class
More Awareness. Less Stigma. Stronger Communities

Join us for a Stigma and Bias Training Class focused on Substance Use Disorder (SUD). This training will help participants build a deeper understanding of substance use, recovery, and the ways stigma and bias can affect individuals, families, and communities.

People experiencing Substance Use Disorder may face judgment, discrimination, and misconceptions that can prevent them from seeking or receiving support. Through increased awareness and open discussion, participants will explore how language, attitudes, and assumptions can influence a person’s willingness to access treatment and recovery services.

The training will encourage compassion, respect, and a more informed approach to supporting individuals affected by substance use. Participants will learn how reducing stigma can help promote earlier intervention, strengthen connections to care, support recovery, and create more welcoming environments for everyone.

Whether you work in behavioral health, social services, healthcare, education, or community support or simply want to learn more your participation can help make a difference. Together, we can challenge harmful stereotypes, recognize the impact of bias, and promote dignity and inclusion for individuals and families affected by Substance Use Disorder.
