A Path 4Ward: Opioid Recovery and Resilience Program

Spring Lake Family Support Services at the Kinsey House is leading the way in Cumberland County with A Path 4ward: Opioid Recovery and Resilience Program. This initiative brings hope, healing, and practical support to families impacted by the opioid crisis. By focusing on early intervention, we work to prevent opioid misuse before it becomes life-threatening while also addressing the social and emotional challenges that often accompany substance use. Early intervention is the cornerstone of A Path 4ward. Our team reaches out to individuals and families at the first signs of risk, offering education, case management, and peer support. By identifying challenges early and connecting those we serve to timely medical and behavioral health services, we help prevent the progression of opioid misuse and create stronger pathways to recovery. This proactive approach ensures that families are supported before crises escalate.

As the frontline partner in this program, Spring Lake Family Support Services at the Kinsey House provides trauma-informed care, family navigation, and community outreach. We collaborate closely with healthcare providers and counseling services to ensure that every individual receives integrated care, from screenings and medication-assisted treatment to counseling and recovery coaching. Together, we create a seamless system of support that empowers families to rebuild their lives with dignity and resilience.

In addition to the Opioid Recovery and Resilience Program, A Path 4ward also offers mentorship to build confidence, resilience, and social-emotional skills. It assists individuals with the GED program, helping older students and adults achieve their educational goals. The program will continue to extend its reach by supporting justice-involved youth and adults, encouraging rehabilitation and positive reintegration into the community. By expanding access to treatment, strengthening outreach, and addressing barriers such as employment and housing, we are building a healthier, more resilient Cumberland County. Recovery is possible, and with early intervention, families can find hope and healing.
